Gloria Turkey: Biggest Bird on Broadway is a funny twisted-history lesson about the creation of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the jack-o-lantern and New York’s nickname, “The Big Apple.” It stars aspiring newshound Edward R. Hound and Gloria Turkey, an Ethel Merman with feathers, who inspires all around her to reach for their dreams.

Gloria Turkey might not look like what most people think of when they think of a turkey. That’s because there are many kinds of turkeys, and Gloria is modeled after one kind of female wild turkey. In this regard, Gloria looks more like a turkey than Mickey looks like a mouse or Kermit looks like a frog. Besides, no one really knows what singing turkeys look like.
